In February/March 2008 I visited Honduras for two weeks. My main objective was to see the Maya city Copán. It was spectacular.
In April 2019 I visited Panamá and Costa Rica. The bird life was very interesting. I was especially happy to see the Resplendent Quetzal (Pharomachrus mocinno, german: Quetzal, french: Quetzal resplendissant), the sacred bird of the Mayas and Aztecs.
In November 2019 I visited Central America again with visits to Belize, Guatemala, and México. The main objectives were visits to sites of Ancient Civilizations (Maya, Olmec, Aztec, etc) and bird watching. I achieved both objectives abundantly.
