Didyma was an ancient oracle and temple of Ionia. It was famous for its Temple and Oracle of Apollo. After Delphi, it was the second most important oracle.

The impressive temple, the Didymaion, was built in the 6th century BCE. It was destroyed by the Persians in 494 BCE. Only in 334 BCE was restoration started by Alexander the Great.
