A Madagascar Flying Fox (Pteropus rufus, german: Roter Flughund, french: Renard volant de Madagascar) in flight. We visited a nesting tree of these bats. They are very large bats with a wingspan of over 1 m (3 ft). It is endemic to Madagascar. (587k)
